Mr. Rucker has
experience across multiple disciplines including engineering, operations,
sales, marketing, product development, business development and
strategic planning at global software, internet and telecommunications
companies. Fred’s demonstrated leadership across multiple
companies – Network Mantra, Vectant, Global One, Bell Canada,
Sprint, AT&T - provides CMP clients the breadth and depth of experience
to overcome almost any challenge.

EVP and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Vectant, Inc.,
a Marubeni [Japan] backed start up company; Fred built a
sales force, brand, and e-commerce platform to deliver end-to-end
networking solutions for their multi-national clients.

As
EVP, Marketing and Business Development for Global One, Rucker
implemented programs to grow the $1.3 billion portfolio of
IP, Data and Voice services in 65 countries. As a result,
Global One surpassed all other carriers to be the Global
Carrier market share leader.

As
SVP and Chief Strategist for Bell Canada, Fred’s team
implemented company-wide initiatives that reversed the market
share losses for this $9 billion portfolio and successfully
doubled net income over a period of 18 months.

As
VP International Business Development, Rucker negotiated a
win-win deal between Sprint and Mexico’s Telemex that
provided Telemex with the infrastructure to become a dominant
telecom player. He later negotiated deals to provide services
in countries around the world including China, Russia, Australia,
Mexico, and Poland.

Fred’s
extensive experience across all facets of telecommunications
gives him the working knowledge to help clients evaluate their
options for building their telecommunications business – including
how to evaluate new technology, uncover viable, sustainable
products and understand whether it is best to own the technology,
establish a virtual factory or some hybrid.
Rucker earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute and an MBA from Columbia University. He has served on
the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Board of Trustees since 1996
and chairs the Development Committee.
Additionally, Fred serves on the Board of Interactive Cable Communications
(a Japanese Internet infrastructure company); and is a charter
member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Scient (an e-Commerce
consulting company). |
